COMEDIANS GIVING LECTURES AXED BY DAVE AFTER THREE SERIES

EXCLUSIVE

Comedians Giving Lectures has been axed by Dave after three series, TV Zone can reveal.

Comedians Giving Lectures saw some of the funniest people in British comedy deliver a hilarious stand up presentation in the guise of a lecture. In each episode, host Sara Pascoe gives three comedians the titles of genuine lectures, but none of the content.

Not only have they got to impress the audience with their usual comedy chops, they will also be marked on their oratory skills by experts in the field of their lecture topic. The subjects might be serious and grown up, but the content created by the comedians certainly wasn't.

A UKTV spokesperson confirmed to TV Zone: "We can confirm that last year’s series of Comedians Giving Lectures was the final one. We’d like to thank Sara Pascoe and 12 Yard Productions for delivering a brilliant show and we look forward to finding new opportunities to work together in the future."

The series was hosted by Sara Pascoe, with comedians to have taken part including Jo Brand, Ahir Shah, Geoff Norcott, Sally Phillips, Joe Thomas, Chris McCausland and Tez Ilyas.

Previous episodes of Comedians Giving Lectures are available now on UKTV Play.
