Masterchef: The Professionals moves to BBC One.

The 13th competition is a six-week series and sees judges, Michelin-starred chef, Marcus Wareing; highly-reputed chef, Monica Galetti, and celebrated MasterChef judge, Gregg Wallace, side-by-side once again to preside over the UK’s most revered cooking competition.

Thirty-six more contestants will demonstrate their outstanding skills, commitment and creativity to convince the judges they are worthy of the highly esteemed title.

Episode 1

In the first heat, four professional chefs from around the country face three challenges to earn a place in this week's quarter final. After the initial test of basic kitchen skills, they must prepare tortellini stuffed with Mushroom Duxelles and served with a sauce of their choice in just 25 minutes. For the final round, they must recreate Marcus Wareing's recipe for devilled butterflied mackerel with herb-flavoured mayo and a cucumber and fennel salad

Episode 2

Four more professional chefs arrive from across the nation to compete. In the infamous Skills Test, two chefs will try their hand at Marcus' test of sweetbreads with a rustic red wine sauce, before the second pair take on Monica's gazed sabayon fruit dessert. In the second round, the four chefs must impress the judges with two stand out Signature Dishes of their own creation, before two of the competitors are sent home

Episode 3

The four strongest chefs from the first two heats return for the quarter-final, inventing a dish that makes the most of an eclectic variety of spices. They then have to cook two courses for restaurant critics Jimi Famurewa and William Sitwell, who scrutinise the dishes in each and every detail. However, judges Monica Galetti and Marcus Wareing will ultimately decide who deserves a place in the next round
