KEY TALENT EXITS NEW COMEDY CENTRAL PANEL SHOW AFTER FIRST EPISODE

Yesterday, Today & The Day Before (6 x 60’) is a female-led panel of famous comedy faces which "offers a fresh and unique take on all that’s happened in the world, poring over topical news, pop culture and funny anecdotes."

The first edition featured panellists Suzi Ruffell, Sophie Duker, Maisie Adam and Steph McGovern and was shown on Thursday 20th May at 9pm on Comedy Central. This episode draw in an audience of just 22,500.

Presenters Sophie Duker and Kemah Bob, along with producer Saima Ferdows, have quit production in protest over its decision not to include material about the recent Israel-Palestine conflict in the final edit, broadcast last week.

An edit was reportedly made to her opening monologue. She claims it was subject to "unusual and unacceptable levels of last-minute interference". She continued: "It had already been meticulously fact-checked, researched and edited for tone and balance days before the record."

Sophie said: "While I feel production has learned from the mistakes made…and I have been assured the team will do better in future, it is in protest that they will have to do better without me."

Yesterday, Today and The Day Before continues Thursdays at 9pm on Comedy Central
