BBC RETURN TO THE TOURNAMENT FOR SECOND SERIES WITH ALEX SCOTT

The Tournament is set to return to BBC One later this year for a second series on BBC daytime.



Hosted by Alex Scott, it’s the ultimate knockout competition, where eight players battle each other on the Tournament Run in a series of exciting tug-of-war quiz matches as they attempt to knock their opponents out of the game and steal their cash.


Only one player will make it to the end, when they will have the chance to double their money on the Golden Run.




Filming is understood commence in Glasgow in June this Summer. Applications for the series are expected to open imminently.



The Tournament is made by QITV, the production arm of Quite Interesting Ltd, the company behind BBC Two’s QI, and the Executive Producer is Simon Urwin. Commissioning Editors are Alex McLeod, and Neil McCallum for BBC Daytime.
