CAUGHT IN THE HEADLINES: BBC ANNOUNCES NEW DOCUMENTARY SERIES ON TOMMY SHERIDAN

Tommy Sheridan: Caught in the Headlines (working title) is a new two-part documentary commissioned by BBC Scotland which offers an intimate and revealing account of one of Scotland's most charismatic and controversial political figures.

Featuring exclusive access to Tommy Sheridan and, for the first time, his wife Gail, the series charts his journey from anti-poll tax campaigner and socialist MSP to the scandals, court cases and imprisonment that transformed his public reputation.

Alongside personal testimony from the Sheridans, the series includes contributions from former colleagues, political opponents, activists and journalists who witnessed the events first-hand. Drawing on extensive personal and broadcast archives, the documentary examines both Sheridan's life and four decades of political and social change in Scotland.
