A YEAR IN REFORM: ITV GOES UNDERCOVER FOR NEW DOCUMENTARY

Reform politicians have been filmed making threats of violence and expressing views that many voters will find offensive, racist and sexist during a year-long ITV undercover investigation.

Reform’s leader Nigel Farage has made repeated and unequivocal promises over the last two years to clean up his party and rid it of ‘extremists’ and ‘bigots’. When he was elected as an MP in July 2024, he said: “We are going to professionalise the party… Those few bad apples that have crept in will be gone, will be long gone, and we will never have any of their type back in our organisation. You have my 100% promise on that.”

Reform says it carries out vetting checks on everyone who wants to stand for election. But ITV’s investigation reveals evidence that the party’s vetting system is ineffective, and Mr Farage has broken his promise to the public.

The 90-minute film Undercover: A Year in Reform is produced by Bafta and Emmy award winning Hardcash Productions and is a part of the ITV Exposure brand. It includes undercover filming of senior Reform politicians and officials working at its UK headquarters, and politicians campaigning for the party across Britain. Today, ITV is releasing details of extremist, racist, sexist and violent comments made by Reform councillors.

‘Drag them out of their homes, stick them on planes… they’re parasites’

A vetted Reform councillor for Solihull, Alan Feeney, was filmed over several days during campaigning in Solihull and Birmingham in the run up to the May 2026 elections.

While going door-to-door to speak to voters, Feeney told an undercover reporter: “If it's an Asian name, I'm not even knocking at the door… they’re not voting Reform and I ain’t wasting my time… It's like Alan Partridge isn't it? [Imitates Alan Partridge] ‘Alan's racist canvassing. Ah-ha!’”

Feeney made planning and housing a key part of his campaign. Looking at the cars on one driveway in an area he said had too many Asian homeowners, he said: “Look at this: one, two, three, four, five… this is just what we're infested with…. That is why they are buying along here because the houses have got big gardens. They're parasites, absolute parasites”.

Challenged by a resident on the doorstep who said some in the local community think Feeney and Reform are “targeting Asian people”, Feeney said: “I'm targeting extensions. If it's them that's building them fine, if it's someone else that's building them fine. I've got no interest in the who, I'm only interested in the what.” But when voters weren’t around, he revealed what he really thinks: “When a house comes up for sale, white people need to be in there. You almost need to f*cking out-Muslim the Muslims.”

Feeney said: "I’d be saying no more than 1% of [the] British population can be non-white… you'd need a proper nuclear option, like literally drag them out of their homes, stick them on planes and f*ck them off to Pakistan, which you’ll never do in a month of Sundays… You just have to make it a country they don’t want to be in… I mean you’re getting to a point where you ban Muslims from standing from public office”.

He added: “I've seen comments from some people in the Asian community… talking about things like ‘Yeah, but we gave you curry.’ I was like, ‘I didn't realise curry was an exchange that you could then rape all our kids’”.

In the election, Feeney won seats on Birmingham City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. He was then appointed Deputy Mayor of Solihull. Following ITV’s investigation, he announced he has left Reform “for personal reasons”.

‘If she'd have given me a hug, I'd have f*cking fingered her’

Councillor Feeney was filmed undercover with Reform local election candidates Jamie Campbell and Chris Whelan – who should also have been vetted by the party – talking about where a local mosque might be being built.

Campbell said: “There's got to be a way of stopping that. Like, go and buy some pork chops… we'll bury it in the ground.” Whelan said: “We'll take pictures of it.” Feeney said: “I was going to say: ‘Unfortunately this is a pig cemetery mate’. [Laughter].”

When the discussion turned to a female Reform candidate, Whelan said: “Fu*k me, if she was my daughter, it would still be bath night on a Thursday… Time for your bath… I'll wash you properly this time. Yes. Dirty b*stard”. Feeney said: “Oh god, we're all going to end up in the papers”.

Whelan was filmed undercover talking about another female Reform candidate: “I'd have been sniffing that seat as soon as she got up. Rubbing the f*cking table like that [makes a thrusting motion towards the table]… If she'd have given me a hug, I'd have f*cking fingered her.” Whelan also repeatedly used the word “P*ki”, including: “I'll tell you one thing, I've never been put on my arse by a fucking P*ki.”

Following ITV’s investigation, Chris Whelan announced he’d resigned from Reform on 12 October “on personal and health grounds”. Campbell is still in post.Councillors Feeney, Whelan and Campbell did not respond to our request for comment.

‘Apparently King Charles is a f*cking Muslim… cut the c*nt’s head off’

An undercover journalist volunteered to help Reform activists leafleting voters in the Makerfield by-election. He met Dean Miller, a vetted Reform councillor for Bromley.

Discussing what he would do to illegal immigrants crossing the channel, Miller said: “I’d get nicked for saying what I would do. Do you know what I mean? I’ll take them out bruv, I don’t care… the way I see it, you’ve got to kill or you’re going to be killed... These f*ckers have come to rape and pillage and f*cking kill us. There's no doubt about it.”

He was filmed undercover calling for King Charles to be beheaded: "Apparently King Charles is a f*cking Muslim… someone from the inside saw a f*cking prayer mat and all that in one of his f*cking rooms … I think that’s f*cking traitorous… cut the c*nt’s head off.”

He discussed demographic changes in London: “We’ve been ethnically cleansed out of London… because you never used to get any blacks or anyone over in Bromley… and now you know, Bromley’s like massive Nigerian communities there… we’ve got good Muslims over here. The unfortunate thing is we’ve got extremists as well.”

Talking about some children in the area he was elected to represent, who he claims have been vandalising shops, Miller said: “It's just like all the ethnic fucking kids, like they're not white, they're all fucking black and they're like fucking animals. It's horrible to say it, I'm not racist, but you know what I mean”.

Exposure filmed Miller a second time at a party – called ‘Farage Fest’ – thrown by Reform in August to thank party activists who’d helped canvass for Nigel Farage in the Clacton by-election. Farage used his victory speech to attack “an intolerance that has now swept through the entire left-wing politics of Britain and is... aided, abetted and incited every single day by broadcasters and national newspapers.” Miller told the reporter he was “fighting the f*cking HMOs” and wanted to “get the mongrels out of this f*cking country.”

Councillor Dean Miller told us he is a disabled individual who was heavily medicated at the time, and he has resigned from Reform.

Politicians ‘should be shot against the wall – that's what I’d do’

In Makerfield, an undercover journalist met Raymond Dunning, a Reform councillor in Tameside, Greater Manchester. Dunning said he has been asked by the party to run as a Reform MP in the next general election.

Dunning said: “I am so, so far-right, it's unbelievable… First of all, I'd deport every other motherf*cker in this country that doesn't deserve to be here and their children as well. First thing you're fucking gone, bang… And then I'd pick up the pieces after that… 18 to 30-year-old young lads, train them up in the army in insurgency tactics so they can go street by street, house by house, picking the c**ts up.”

Dunning complained that new Reform councillors are “being schmoozed by f*cking experienced Labour councillors and independents”. He said: “But we are a far-right party, and our policies are to f*cking kick these traitorous bastards out… how can you be a far-right f*cking party when you got your f*cking troops f*cking mingling with the f*cking enemy? They should be shot against the wall – that's what I’d do.”

Speaking about the leader of the right-wing party Restore Britain, Rupert Lowe, Dunning said: “Lowe is right in a lot of things isn't he.” Another vetted Reform party member said: “The best thing he says is, I don't care. ‘Well, you're being racist’. I don't care.” Dunning said: “I agree with him [Lowe], I don't give a fuck. I'm worse than him.”

Councillor Dunning did not respond to ITV's request for comment and is still in post.

ITV Exposure’s investigation hasn’t just uncovered extreme views being expressed by those approved to stand for Reform, but councillors saying they’ll conceal their real views from voters to win power. An undercover reporter filmed two Reform councillors from Hounslow, West London. Councillor David Kerr said: “We're… not fucking stupid enough to piss off the entire like woke south or centrist south really of the country. You need to seem palatable to everyone to get them, to get [the majority].”

Councillor Adam Parkins said: “So, the stuff that people feel uncomfortable with don't even announce it just do it, just make the changes in the background… We just need to get f*cking elected, that’s all that really matters… we won't necessarily say what we are doing and maybe part of the point is not [to say].”

During the by-election in Caerphilly, South Wales, a former Reform local election candidate, Martin Roberts, was filmed undercover describing people from Leicester as “darkies” and used what he claimed was rhyming slang for a black person: “Four-door saloon, c*on.”

In response to a comment that the Conservative Party will not be successful under the leadership of Kemi Badenoch, Roberts said: “What cos she’s black? [Laughter]. I’m a f*cker mate, I really am.”

In his response to ITV, Roberts said he was trying to be humorous and informal but accepts he used language that was inappropriate and he regrets it. He says he is not a bigot or an extremist. He is now a caseworker for a Reform politician in the Welsh Parliament.

Reform’s response: "Where members, activists and councillors have clearly behaved inappropriately, investigations have commenced. In some cases, there have been suspensions and due process must be followed.

“Reform UK has improved and prioritised its vetting procedures, but from time to time, a handful of individuals who do not share our values will initially make it through vetting. This is the same for all organisations."
