THE BRIDGE: FUTURE OF CHANNEL 4 SERIES 'IN DOUBT'

Reality competition The Bridge, which has aired on Channel 4 for two series, has its future in doubt, according to reports from The Sun.

The Bridge saw a group of ordinary brits compete to build a bridge of over 1,000 feet of water in less than a fortnight to reach a cash prize held on top of ‘Fortune Rock’. A spokesperson for the programme told The Sun newspaper: "Conversations are on-going about future series."

The most recent series, which aired on Channel 4 last Summer, was hosted by AJ Odudu alongside adventurer Aldo Kane and saw 16 Brits - split in two teams - compete for a £200k jackpot in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.

The contestants had to put egos and differences aside to tackle the ultimate test of physical ability, mental skill and teamwork. Going head to head, the teams facde a race to build a bridge over 1,000 feet of water in just 12 days.

The Bridge is available now on All4. The series was produced by Workerbee, a Banijay UK company.
