THE CHASE: NEW CHASER REVEALED!

The identity of the sixth Chaser on ITV's daytime hit The Chase has finally been revealed!

Darragh Ennis made his debut during Thursday's show, putting an end to months of speculation on who the sixth Chaser would be.

He will be known as 'The Dublin Dynamo' and 'D. Ennis the Menace', and will join the show as the sixth Chaser - no existing Chaser is leaving the show.

Darragh is a post doctoral researcher at Oxford University and has already appeared on the show - as a contestant - in March 2017 - banking £9,000 for the team.

Of turning Chaser to join the smash hit series, Darragh said: “I'm so pleased to be the sixth Chaser. It's brilliant to be on such an amazing quiz team, and so much fun working with Bradley Walsh. It's such an exciting opportunity and I can't wait to take on more contestants!"

Host Bradley Walsh added: “Another Chaser? ANOTHER CHASER? That’s another person cleverer than me on The Chase. I must have words with the producers. But I can’t wait to educate Darragh on the important things in life; custard creams, cowboy films and real ale.”

Darragh Ennis joins the existing five chasers; Mark Labbett, Anne Hegerty, Shaun Wallace, Jenny Ryan and Paul Sinha.

The Chase continues weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
