The Body Detectives | Preview (Channel 4)

New series following the work of an organisation dedicated to revisiting forgotten cases, giving a name and a story to each unidentified person and giving the families the solace they seek.

Ex-detective Dave Grimstead and his team investigate the disappearance of George Johnston - who vanished off the Norfolk coast in 1984 while on a family holiday. George selflessly entered the sea to help a family in distress, but tragically was never seen again.

Now, George's family seek Dave's help to try and find his final resting place. It's a journey that takes the team in unexpected directions, as they enlist the help of a pathologist, a forensic oceanographer and an expert in facial reconstruction.

The Body Detectives begins Tuesday 23rd July at 9pm on Channel 4.
