The charming and affectionate series following the Mathewsons, a family of classic car auctioneers based in a picturesque North Yorkshire village, returns for a new series. In this series, Derek meets a kindred spirit who has something even Derek thinks the chances of selling are “zero”.

Cars passing through for auction include a Vauxhall Lotus Carlton valued around £75,000, a rare Mk2 Aston Martin DB6, a Toyota Celica Supra that has lain dormant for a decade, a 26 tonne Mercedes fire engine, two restored 1970s motorbikes that are in too good a condition to actually ride, a Rover SD1 adored by its previous owner, a Peugeot 205 GTI hot hatch, a 1959 Morris Minor 1000, and lots, lots more.

Also, it’s the start of a new era, as young Charlie heads off on his first solo collection. And which Mathewson would buy his daughter a hedge trimmer for her 21st birthday? Well, it could be any of them really, couldn’t it?

In the first episode, Aston Martin DB6/ Toyota Supra: Derek’s in Bromsgrove on the trail of a rare mark 2 Aston Martin DB6. Jack and Charlie are collecting an even rarer Toyota Celica Supra in Cheshire, and Dave is wondering what he was thinking of when he said `yes’ to an enormous Mercedes fire engine.
