Jeanette Kwakye and JJ Chalmers are across this morning’s action with the Stade de France bustling with athletics activity.
The women’s 10km open water swim was in progress early this morning, but attention now turns to the women’s heptathlon, with British world champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson getting her campaign underway in the 100m hurdles.
There’s also plenty of water-based action with sailing and canoe sprint in motion at the Marina and Nautical Stadium.
Hazel Irvine hosts another action-packed afternoon in the French capital with diving and track cycling taking centre stage.
The men’s 3m springboard final features Britain’s Jack Laugher in his fourth Olympic appearance. He became the first British diver to win two medals at the same Games in 2016 but will, as ever, face a formidable challenge from the Chinese.
At the National Velodrome, the men’s sprint and omnium and women’s keirin all get underway. Two British stars are aiming for taekwondo gold, and there promises to be a race for the ages in the women’s 400m hurdles as five athletics champions are crowned tonight.
Join Gabby Logan at the Stade de France for an unmissable night of action, including a rare and highly anticipated showdown between 400m hurdles world record holder and reigning champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone of the USA and Dutch world champion Femke Bol.
Lyles starts as favourite in the 200m, while India’s Neeraj Chopra will be hoping to defend his Olympic title in the javelin.
Away from the athletics, it could be a night of double celebration for the British taekwondo team. Jade Jones is seeking a third Olympic gold medal, while Bradly Sinden is vying to add to last year’s world title.
