40 UNFORGETTABLE YEARS: LORRAINE KELLY TO MARK FOUR DECADES IN TV WITH ITV DOCUMENTARY

This autumn, Lorraine Kelly marks four decades on British television and ITV celebrates with a documentary exploring her enduring career as one of the country's leading broadcasters.



Breakfast TV was in its infancy in 1984 when Lorraine got her first break as Scotland reporter for TVam and the documentary surfaces archive from Lorraine's early broadcasting career and beyond, reporting on some landmark news events in an evolving Britain - from the 80s to present day.



The doc explores Lorraine's childhood and early life in Glasgow, until she left school to work as a trainee on her local newspaper. In rare cine footage from Lorraine’s childhood and interviews with her family, friends and primary school teacher, we are given an insight into the origins of Lorraine's work ethic and values which remain with her today. 


Bringing their insight to Lorraine behind the screen are a select line up of contributors from home and work life who talk about the Lorraine they know. In a candid and personal interview, Lorraine recalls the events that have a particular poignance for her across 40 Unforgettable Years.
