Channel 4 confirms two new series of crafting competition Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas for the 2026 and 2027 festive seasons. Property expert and Queen of Christmas makes, Kirstie Allsopp, will once again host the daytime format where several crafty contestants compete in a round of challenges with the chance to be crowned the best in their creative medium.

From Glasgow’s Raise the Roof Productions, the five-part series for this year will see these competitors demonstrate the magic of handmade makes that add sparkle to any environment at Christmas. This includes Christmas wreath making, homemade Christmas cake and handcrafted toys, which all and more will be used to decorate Christmas HQ for the end of series jubilations Kirstie will host.

Set in Devon, experts in their fields will help judge the crafters and ultimately crown a winner each one-hour episode. And some specialists will even demonstrate some of their favourite homemade craft hacks.

Between moments of the contest, Kirstie will show viewers some spectacular and cost-effective crafts that they can make at home. From quick paper designs to delicate ornaments and mantlepieces, Kirstie provides plenty of inspiration to bring a touch of bespoke sparkle to your home.

Kirstie Allsopp said: “Keep Calm & Think of Christmas. This might sound bonkers but what I’m doing in this boiling hot weather is thinking about hot toddies & cosy knits, because Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas is coming back. We’re already making plans for how we are going to make my favourite show (don’t tell Phil I said that) better than ever.”

Channel 4’s Clemency Green adds: “We’re excited to return to the world of Handmade Christmas with Kirstie, and with even more spectacular craftspeople involved. There’s no better way to kick off festivities on Channel 4.”

Raise the Roof Productions’ Sarah Walmsley commented: “We’re absolutely delighted to be making two new series of Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas. The programme celebrates the extraordinary creativity, passion and skill of crafters from across the UK, and we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on the incredible makers who keep these traditions alive and we can’t wait for audiences to meet this year’s talented competitors.”

Kirstie Allsopp's Handmade Christmas returns later this year on Channel 4.
