ASHLEY BANJO'S REAL FULL MONTY TO RETURN LATER THIS YEAR ON ITV
The Real Full Monty sees a line-up of brave celebrities ready to take the famous Full Monty strip to a whole new level in front of a live audience.
Ashley Banjo led the series which sees the recruits, who all have stories to tell about how cancer has touched the lives of themselves or those closest to them, bare all to raise awareness of life-saving cancer checks, whilst bring old school glitz and glamour to the strip.
TV Zone exclusively revealed in September that the show had been shelved for 2022, with it set to return this year. The Sun has now revealed this is the case, with Ashley Banjo set to reprise his role.
Celebs to have reportedly signed-up for the new series include TV personality Gemma Collins, former Royal butler Paul Burrell, actress Sherrie Hewson, Dancing On Ice's Vanessa Bauer, broadcaster Julia Bradbury, Rugby star Ben Cohen, and sportsman Ashley Cain.
A source told the publication: "This show proved hugely popular with viewers because it raised a laugh while shining a spotlight on serious subjects. In previous years producers have tried to put a twist on the overall theme and this year is likely to be no exception. The celebrities, who’ve yet to be revealed, will face a nervous wait to find out if that twist is likely to add even more pressure."
The Real Full Monty began in 2017 on ITV, with nine male celebrities, including Ashley Banjo, baring all. In 2018, it returned to ITV with the added addition of a Ladies' Night, with celebrities including Coleen Nolan and Victoria Derbyshire.
The latest special aired late last year. The class of 2021 were EastEnders actress Laila Morse, professional dancers and husband and wife James and Ola Jordan, Blue singer Duncan James, model Christine McGuiness, Olympian Colin Jackson, musical theatre and Loose Women star Brenda Edwards, TV presenter Martin Roberts and Love Island favourites Teddy Soares and Demi Jones.
Previous episodes are available to watch on ITVX. The Real Full Monty is produced by Spun Gold for ITV.
