BBC RETURN TO READING AND LEEDS FESTIVAL

BBC Music will return to Reading and Leeds Festival across the August Bank Holiday with packed coverage across TV and Radio including BBC One, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Introducing.

From Friday 25 August to Sunday 27 August, the Radio 1 Dance Stage and 1Xtra Stage will play host to some of the biggest names in music, while the BBC Introducing Stage will remain the best place to catch the most exciting emerging artists.

Radio 1 and 1Xtra will be broadcasting live from Reading to deliver all of the most memorable moments across the weekend directly to listeners, from exclusive backstage interviews to headline performances from some of the world’s biggest artists.

Listeners can tune in live on BBC Sounds as well as on Radio 1 and 1Xtra. Matt Edmondson and Mollie King; Katie Thistleton and Vicky Hawkesworth will be covering the festival on Radio 1 across the weekend; while DJ Target will head up the action on 1Xtra.

BBC One will broadcast two special shows which will feature highlights of the headline sets from Billie Eilish and The Killers.

The Killers @ Reading & Leeds Festival 2023 will broadcast on Sunday 27 August at 11.40pm. The Killers will return to Reading Festival to headline for the second time, having first graced the top spot back in 2008. Nearly twenty years on from the release of their iconic debut album Hot Fuss, audiences can expect a setlist full of huge sing-a-long anthems and indie disco classics.

Billie Eilish @ Reading & Leeds Festival 2023 will broadcast on Monday 28 August at 11.15pm.

Global superstar Billie Eilish will return to Reading Festival, this time to headline the Main Stage East, where in 2019 she drew arguably the biggest crowd of the weekend. At just 21, she will become the youngest solo artist to headline the event.
