THE UNSEEN TAPES: CHANNEL 5 ANNOUNCES NEW 9/11 DOCUMENTARY

Zinc Media Group’s Bristol-based premium factual label, Atomic Television, has been commissioned by 5 to produce 9/11: The Unseen Tapes. Airing later this year, the feature-length documentary film (1 x 90”) will offer an immersive account of the generation-defining terrorist attack in 2001; providing new perspectives on one of the most important days in modern history, 25 years on.

9/11: The Unseen Tapes is a collaboration between Reuters Archive and Atomic, with previously unseen footage shot immediately by journalists at the scene and the days after, revealing how the events of that extraordinary moment of history unfolded.  

These unseen tapes show how a city and its people responded to the unimaginable sequence of events as the rest of the world watched on in horror. Pairing footage with eyewitness testimony, some telling their story for the first time, the film gives a different view of that history defining day.
