Stevens & McCarthy are back with more laugh-out loud comedy. Showcasing two of Scotland’s most-talented comic performers – Gayle Telfer Stevens and Louise McCarthy – this new four-part sketch show features a collection of characters, spoofs and musical comedy.
In this first episode, the duo are in tune with ‘Millennial’ woes; pensioner power hits the headlines; and a gamer mum loses her cool.Meanwhile, at the roll van, Davie the worker feels sexually objectified; Adele’s new album is a hit list of age issues; and the girls think twinkly lights are the answer to all life’s woes.
Written by and starring Gayle Telfer Stevens and Louise McCarthy, the series also stars a supporting cast including Amy Conachan, Craig McLean, Gavin Jon Wright and Phoebe Connolly.
Stevens & McCarthy is the first of three new comedy series from Scotland which also includes Only Child (starring Gregor Fisher and Greg McHugh) and The Chief (starring Jack Docherty).
Stevens & McCarthy is a Comedy Unit production for BBC Scotland and lands Monday 7th October on BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer.
