HEARTSTOPPER: NETFLIX CONFIRMS OCTOBER RELEASE FOR THIRD SERIES

Based on Alice Oseman’s best-selling graphic novels of the same name, Heartstopper follows Nick and Charlie’s high school friendship as it blossoms into something more.

In Season 1, which covers the first two volumes of the graphic novel, viewers watch as Nick and Charlie’s friendship blossoms into the most wholesome relationship, as they make snow angels and kiss in the rain.

Viewers are introduced to their friends Elle (Yasmin Finney) and Tao (William Gao), as well as school lesbian icons Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell).

The second series saw some new faces joining the gang. Leila Khan will star as Higgs student Sahar Zahid, Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David Nelson, Nima Taleghani as Truham teacher Mr. Farouk. Their parts in series three are to be announced.

Executive producer Patrick Walters said: "We put so much love into the making of Heartstopper so to reassemble the team for two more seasons [seasons two and three] is a dream come true. I’m forever grateful to Alice Oseman for entrusting us with this beautiful, unique story that at its core seeks to uplift the next generation of young LGBTQ+ people. Stay tuned!"

Heartstopper Series 1 and 2 are available on Netflix now.
