EURO 2024: ENGLAND'S DEFEAT TO SPAIN SCORES BIGGEST TV AUDIENCE OF THE YEAR

The Three Lions' defeat to Spain 2-1 in the Euro 2024 final last night scored the highest TV ratings of the year so far with an average audience of 22.32m across BBC One and ITV1.

On the BBC, Gary Lineker anchored coverage from Berlin’s Olympiastadion alongside Rio Ferdinand and Micah Richards, with Guy Mowbray and Alan Shearer providing the commentary. On ITV, coverage was anchored by Mark Pougatch with Ian Wright and Gary Neville.



16.65m watched on BBC One (17.8m peak), with 5.67m (6m peak) on ITV1. A combined peak audience of 23.74m watched towards the end of the match. [via Lizo Mzimba/BBC].
