DASHCAM JUSTICE: NEW DAYTIME SERIES ANNOUNCED FOR BBC

Tomos TV, a Zinc Media Label, is in production with Dashcam Justice, a new 12- part series for BBC Daytime and BBC Wales.

Narrated by Welsh TV and radio presenter, Jason Mohammad, the series follows drivers across Britain who are using dashcams, headcams and mobile phones to capture and report dangerous driving, scam artists and organised crime groups; helping to hold reckless road users to account.

As the use of on-board camera technology continues to grow, Dashcam Justice explores how everyday road users are playing an increasingly important role in improving road safety and providing valuable evidence for the police. Through compelling case studies, expert insight and practical advice, the series reveals how footage captured in the moment can support police investigations, insurance claims and victims, and help deliver justice.

Alongside these powerful stories, viewers will also gain useful guidance on how to make the most of this crucial technology, and keep safe from scammers.

Executive Producer, Tom Edwards, said: “With extensive experience filming alongside the police, I’m delighted to bring Dashcam Justice to BBC audiences. These mini marvel cameras are a game changer. Revealing criminal scams, jaw-dropping road use and ludicrously risky driving.”

Commissioning Editor for BBC Cymru Wales, Julian Carey, said: "Dashcam Justice shows how ordinary members of the public are making a big difference to road safety, working with the police to help stamp out dangerous driving."

Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime, Lindsay Bradbury, said: "The series lifts the lid on shocking driving, provides tips about how we can all be better drivers and highlights how reckless drivers are brought to justice."

Tomos TV and sister company Raw Cut bring significant experience working with the UK police, having worked with more than half of the country’s forces on shows including Police Interceptors, Street Cops: Catching the Yobs, and Major Crimes Unit.
