THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF: LAUNCH DATE CONFIRMED FOR NEW SERIES ON CHANNEL 4

The Great British Bake Off returns to Channel 4 on Tuesday 2nd September for a brand new series, and Channel 4 have released the trailer.

Voiced by comedian Joe Wilkinson and featuring Noel and Alison as animated characters, the trail builds anticipation for what promises to be another glorious series. Inspired by the Big Bang the new trail imagines a universe born not from dust and gas, but from a spectacular explosion of flour, sugar, and baked wonders — all emerging from the twinkling blue eye of Paul Hollywood himself.

It’s a playful nod to Bake Off’s place in the cultural calendar: the moment it arrives, everything changes. Once it starts there’s a frenzy of mixing bowls, piping bags, and tense timer counts. Viewers swap ice creams for crumbles, salads for pies, and sun hats for aprons.

As the ovens fire up a new batch of bakers will step into the iconic tent to face Paul and Prue. Audiences can expect all the classic ingredients — warmth, humour, creativity, and just the right amount of competition.  This autumn, let the universe of Bake Off pull you in once again. Because, as the trail says, once there was nothing, and then there was Bake Off.
