A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN RETURNS WITH ROMESH RANGANATHAN AS PRESENTER

Comedian and regular panellist Romesh Ranganathan will take over full time presenting duties on the next series of A League Of Their Own.

Original presenter, James Corden, has reportedly left the show due to his ongoing commitments in the America.

Romesh will be joined by returning team captains Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp when the show returns for its 16th series this August on Sky One.

Speaking via the Daily Star, Romesh said: "I’m over the moon to be taking over the hosting duties and looking forward to being back in the studio with Jamie, Freddie, our guests and the live audience...

He continued: "I’m truly honoured to be the new host of such a successful show. I know Jamie and Freddie are delighted because they often talk about what a hero I am to both of them."

Jamie added: "The beautiful thing with A League of Their Own is that people don’t leave it… they just go away for a while to do other projects. I still speak to James a lot and he loves the show. So I am sure he will come back. The show is successful and he always says, ‘You never leave a hit’. He’s hoping to come back at some point."
