Walter Presents - which showcases the best foreign language drama series from around the world - continues with this gripping crime drama from Finland set in the icy landscapes of Lapland.

Nina Kautsalo, a policewoman working deep inside the Arctic Circle, discovers a dying sex worker in a remote and dilapidated cabin. Another woman is found dead under ice a short distance from the cabin.

The women turn out to be Russians who are trafficked across the border with Russia. But the investigation takes a dangerous turn when a German virologist, Thomas Lorenz, working in Helsinki, discovers a deadly virus in the dying woman's bloodstream.

Thomas travels to Lapland to work with Nina and the pair find themselves in an unusual investigation that will test their endurance as well as their willingness to operate outside the law.

To coincide with the launch of the full series on All 4 from Friday 21 October, the first episode transmits on Channel 4.
