MINOR ISSUES: CHANNEL 4 ANNOUNCES NEW DIGITAL SERIES
Selling sold-out stadiums and world tours is nothing new to some of these stars, but how will they fare when they’re put against a line-up of their peers to impress a panel of unfiltered kids with a few strong opinions on their skillset?
Across this new five-part series, produced by Wall of Productions and hosted by TV and online personality Yung Filly, a panel of three pre-teens dish out the fiercest heat to a celeb line-up, whittling them down to the ultimate adult to solve their dilemma.
From one child panellist looking for a rapper with the right amount of star quality to headline at their school disco to another searching for the celeb with the most rizz, only the best of the best will be chosen for the special occasion.
The first episode features superstar rappers, ArrDee, Konan, Ivorian Doll, A1 2 Funny, and content creator Face in the News, where each artist will be rated on their style, wits, and freestyling ability. The series also covers “Charisma”, “Footballers”, “Chefs”, and “Comedians” in later episodes.
The celebrity line-up for the series includes podcast sensations James and Fuhad (of ShxtsNGigs), digital superstar Nella Rose, BGT 2023 winner Axel Blake, and West Ham United football star Michail Antonio, as well as Adebayo Akinfenwa, Big John, Dami Hope, Diego Day, Expressions Oozing, Has, Fu Izzy, Kyrah Gray, Max Khadar, PK Humble, Specs Gonzalez, Stepz, and Stevo the Madman.
Evie Buckley, Digital Commissioning Editor and Channel 4.0 Lead, said: “Kids, Creators and a brief for chaos – what could possibly go wrong?! Minor Issues has all the ingredients for a YouTube hit, and we’re proud to have it premiere on Channel 4.0 this summer. We would like to thank the brilliant celebrities who feature for allowing themselves to be roasted for the enjoyment of us and our viewers. They took it so well, mostly.”
Tafara Makopa, MD and Sam Ewen, Head of Entertainment at Wall of Productions, adds: "Minor Issues is 4.0's most savage show to date, and to be honest... I'm unsure how we convinced all the celebrities to sign up for it! Amongst the banter and chaos, this format really showcases the vast amount o f talent coming out of the UK. With shots fired from every angle, Minor Issues will have you crying with laughter…so it's a show you definitely don't want to miss!"
Minor Issues is available to watch now on Channel 4.0 YouTube.
