THE VOICE UK TEASES SERIES FIRSTS AHEAD OF NEW SERIES LATER THIS YEAR

The Voice UK is back in production for its twelfth series which is set to air on ITV1 and ITVX in 2023, with ITV confirming the series will be entirely pre-recorded, like the 2022 series.

In the search for the next singing sensation - Anne-Marie, Olly Murs, Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am - have once again assumed their roles as the superstar Coaches and returned to their seats in the most iconic chairs on television.

ITV tease a 'refreshed' format by widening the age bracket, including more "loveable characters who give the coaches (and the viewers) real belly laughs". The new series will also see the coaches travelling to the auditions in a 'karaoke party bus'.

In a series of firsts, series 12 has it's first chair swap where Will-i-am gives up his seat to Emma Willis to experience a blind audition, plus production have opened the competition to groups who kick off episode one in style.

Much-loved television presenter Emma Willis returns as host, and will once again preside over all of the action. Hopefuls looking for a shot at stardom will take to the stage in a bid to be crowned this series’ winner, securing a recording contract with Universal’s label UMOD.

Last's series, which saw Anthonia Edwards crowned The Voice UK Winner 2022, was the first series of the talent competition to be entirely pre-recorded. It was also moved to an Autumn slot having previously aired in the New Year.

The Voice UK is produced by Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios. The Voice is an ITV Studios format.
