TRUE BRIT DATING: NEW DATING SHOW SEARCHING FOR PEOPLE WHO VALUE TRADITION TO WIN £1 MILLION
A new dating show is casting for single people looking for love between the ages of 20 and 65 to take part. Titled True Brit Dating, the new show is on the lookout for people who value tradition for the chance to win up to £1,000,000.
Meanwhile, a new dating series is reportedly in development which will see a "group of modern men flown out to Italy where a real-life grandma will teach them to woo a girl the old-fashioned way."
A source told The Sun: "Recipe For Love is the antithesis of the flood of raunchy dating shows, and encourages a return to old-fashioned values the modern world has forgotten...
"The show is in development now and talks are under way with a number of channels interested in airing the series. No talent is attached, but up-and-coming Strictly hunk Vito Coppola is considered the perfect fit. He embodies all those values plus is very close to his own Nonna."
Elsewhere, Channel 4 are reportedly developing a new dating format for single parents, Single Mums Street (w/t). Little details are available about the format other that casting was looking for "single parent families including children" of varying ages to take part.
This Summer it was announced that Channel 4 has commissioned The Honesty Box (working title), a nine-part reality dating experiment for E4, from Mettlemouse Entertainment and GroupM Motion Entertainment which will test if honesty is the secret to finding true and everlasting love.
The series brings a cast of singles together in “Truetopia”, a sunny and romantic paradise where truth and honesty reign supreme. Ready to try a new approach, each single has signed up to this new radical dating experiment knowing they will be tested, in the hope it will lead to true love.
To encourage full transparency in their new relationships there is a prize fund of £100,000 up for grabs, but only if the daters choose to be open and completely honest about their true feelings.
Every day the daters will face The Honesty Box – a new AI-enhanced software – to be asked probing questions about their feelings. If The Honesty Box detects deception, it could impact their newly formed relationship… and the prize fund.
The singles will be guided through the experiment by host Vicky Pattison. Vicky will be joined by motivational speaker and Married at First Sight Australia alumnus Lucinda Light, who will be encouraging each of the daters to discover their inner truth.
More details on both formats will be announced in due course.
