The action from Japan features the heats of a brand-new Olympic event, the mixed 4x400m relay in which Great Britain are confident of securing safe passage to the final. Women’s triple jump and shot put qualifying are also on the programme with the latter likely to feature emerging British shot put star Sophie McKinna.
