The BBC have reportedly commissioned a new The Repair Shop spin-off, titled The Repair Shop On The Road, which will see the show's team of experts travel across the country to restore people's much-loved possession.

A source told The Sun: "This is a great vote of confidence in The Repair Shop’s presenter, even if it does see the limelight shift from him somewhat in this spin-off.

“It’s also another sign of just how successful the show has become in the seven years it’s been on our screens."

The Repair Shop takes viewers into a workshop filled with expert craftspeople, bringing loved pieces of family history and the memories they hold back to life. A heartwarming antidote to throwaway culture.

Last series, The Repair Shop also welcomed a new expert to the barn this year, Rebecca Bissonnet, a skilled textiles conservator who has worked in restoration at places like Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace and on countless priceless items including Queen Elizabeth’s coronation dress.

The Repair Shop is available on BBC iPlayer.
