Channel 4 has commissioned The Hormone Fix, a one-off factual special from Little Bird Films, fronted by actor, author and wellbeing advocate Davinia Taylor.

In the 60-minute programme, Davinia explores the role hormones play in our everyday lives, from sleep, stress and mood to appetite and energy levels. Meeting leading experts and contributors with first-hand experience, she investigates how hormonal health can affect our wellbeing and uncovers practical insights and intriguing new wellness methods that we can all apply to our everyday lives.

Combining science, personal stories and Davinia's infectious curiosity, The Hormone Fix makes a complex subject accessible, empowering audiences to take ownership of their wellness habits and to have a greater understanding of how our bodies work.

Davinia Taylor said:"We're told to accept feeling tired, stressed, foggy and out of sorts as a normal part of life, especially as we get older. I don't buy that. Hormones affect so much more than people realise, and I want to explore what happens when we start paying attention to them. Hormones make us feel happy and safe and bring us joy and love. If this programme gets people asking more questions and feeling more in control of their health, then that's a win."

Clemency Green, Senior Commissioning Editor, Channel 4, said:"Conversations around hormonal health have never been more prominent, but they're often clouded by conflicting advice and misinformation. With Davinia's curiosity, expert voices and relatable personal stories, The Hormone Fix aims to make a complex subject accessible, engaging and useful for viewers."

Tammy Kennedy, Co Founder & Creative Director, Little Bird Films adds:“We've loved working with Davinia on this film. Her energy, honesty and genuine curiosity are infectious, and she's never afraid to ask the questions we're all thinking. Hormones influence so much of how we feel every day, yet there's still so much we don't understand about them. At Little Bird, we love making programmes that spark curiosity, challenge what we think we know and leave audiences with something genuinely useful. That's exactly what we hope The Hormone Fix will do, and we're delighted to be bringing it to Channel 4.”

The Hormone Fix will air on Channel 4 next year.
