THE HAIRDRESSER MYSTERIES: SALLY PHILLIPS TO STAR IN NEW BBC DAYTIME DRAMA

The Hairdresser Mysteries is an original, homegrown drama and a nostalgic nod to the 70’s which sees a high-end hairdresser, Lily Petal (Sally Phillips – Bridget Jones Diary), opt out of the competitive city scene to buy a small village hairdressers at the top of a cobbled street.

Everyone tells their hairdresser everything and soon she becomes the hub of her new village’s secrets and revelations. Using her own brand of uncannily developed hairdressing intuitive, empathy and understanding, Lily begins to solve the mysteries of the village.

None more so than hairdresser, Lily Petal, and we are delighted to have much-loved actor, Sally Phillips bring her to life.”
The Hairdresser Mysteries (6x45) is created and written by internationally acclaimed playwright and screenwriter, Jim Cartwright (Multi award-winning television credits include Road, Road, Johnny Shakespeare, Vacuuming Completely Nude in Paradise and King of the Teds). It is produced by Mill Bay Media, a 53 Degrees Global company, in association with Night Train Media, with Eccho Rights distributing internationally.
