THIS MORNING TO HOST THEIR OWN SOAP AWARDS FOLLOWING 2024 CEREMONY CANCELLATION

ITV's flagship daytime magazine show This Morning are to host their own Soap Awards after ITV cancelled the 2024 ceremony last year. The British Soap Awards are expected to return next year.

Voting is open via the This Morning app with categories including Best Soap, Best Storyline, Best Actor and Best Family. The winners will be revealed live on This Morning on Wednesday 29th May by Sharon Marshall.

The British Soap Awards sees the five biggest soaps - Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks - will be battling it out to win recognition for their work over the past year.

Some of the biggest faces from all five soaps hit the red carpet for the most star-studded and glamorous event in the soap calendar, celebrating all things Soaps - with star guests gracing the stage, looking back at explosive stunts and all those soap storylines that gripped the nation over the past year.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITVX.
