RATINGS REPORT: THE MOST WATCHED SHOWS OVER CHRISTMAS, CONSOLIDATED FIGURES REVEALED

The latest 7-day consolidated ratings for programmes shown over Christmas have been released by BARB. The top-50 breakdown can be found on BARB's website here.



Amandaland was the most watched programme of Christmas, with 7,069,200 tuning in to the first Christmas special of the hit BBC comedy. The BBC's other comedy special - Two Doors Down - was watched by 2,827,900 on Christmas Eve.



On Christmas Day, The Scarecrows' Wedding was watched by 6,66,100 thanks to the audience it inherited from The King, who was watched by 6,421,300 on BBC One alone. Call The Midwife was the most watched drama with 6,130,800 and 5,315,100 for its two part special respectively.


Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman's final Strictly Come Dancing episdoe on Christmas Day was watched by 5,440,900, whilst on ITV their most watched programme was The 1% Club with 5,440,500, whilst the most watched programme on Channel 4 was The Great Festive Bake Off with 5,154,700.



In entertainment, Michael McIntyre's The Wheel was watched by 4,887,100 on Christmas Day, Celebrity Gladiators drew an audience of 4,290,700 and The Weakest Link was seen by 3,159,700. Rounding off Christmas Day, Mrs Brown's Boys was watched by 3,150,000.


The Masked Singer and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire dominated ITV's Boxing Day schedule with 3,685,400 and 3,911,800 respectively. On Channel 4, The Great Pottery Throwdown Christmas special was watched by 2,769,400 whilst Channel 5's most watched programme was All Creatures Great & Small with 3,085,900 for its Christmas special on Christmas Eve.
