Walter Presents: Outlier | Preview (Channel 4 & All4)

To coincide with the launch of the full series on All 4 from Friday 7 January, the first episode transmits on Channel 4. Walter Presents - which showcases the best foreign language drama series from around the world - continues with this compelling Norwegian thriller.

In isolated Kautokeino, teenager Elle finds her friend Sofie's phone by the side of the road and worries that Sofie has gone missing. However, her queries are dismissed, and even her family think that the girl has just taken off for a couple of days.

But then police find Sofie's stripped and strangled body in a caravan park. The police chase down a local suspect and the case appears to be quickly wrapped up. In London, Maja Angell is studying for her thesis in criminal psychology when she reads about the case.

She is from Kautokeino and is certain that the police have the wrong man. What can she do about it?
