The Gone | Preview (BBC Four)

The BBC has acquired mystery thriller The Gone starring Richard Flood (Grey’s Anatomy) and Acushla-Tara Kupe (Mr.Corman), for BBC Four and BBC iPlayer from Red Arrow Studios International.

The six-part series follows the journey of Irish detective Theo Richter (Richard Flood) who teams up with a Kiwi detective, Diana Huia (Acushla-Tara Kupe), when a young Irish couple go missing from a rural New Zealand town.

Their job isn’t made any easier by the community's growing concern that the disappearances may be linked to a series of historical murders, putting the whole town on edge.

The series also stars Manu Bennett (The Hobbit), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones, Gangs of London) and Carolyn Bracken (You are Not My Mother, Dublin Murders).

Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, said: “Set amongst the beautiful New Zealand landscape, The Gone is an atmospheric and suspenseful mystery thriller, guaranteed to keep viewers guessing until the very end.”

The Gone (6 x 55’) begins Saturday 16th March on BBC Four.
