Series two of Miss Scarlet and the Duke opens up one month on from the end of the previous series. Eliza (Kate Phillips) has solved her father’s murder, her relationship with William, the Duke (Stuart Martin), continues to slowly simmer, and Eliza continues to face challenges of being a professional woman in a male dominated Victorian London.
EP01: The sister of a missing woman hires Eliza to find her, but the case was already closed by the police – creating new tensions between Eliza and the Duke.
EP02: A valuable sketch by recently deceased Charles Darwin has just been stolen, and Eliza is hired by an insurance company to find it. Why she was hired, and how the mystery is solved, brings fresh twists.
EP03: Eliza is forced into hiding when she is the prime suspect in a series of breakins at city mortuaries. While Duke tries to find other suspects, Eliza turns to Moses (Ansu Kabia) and her other associates for help.
EP04: Eliza is hired to solve a case of blackmail in the shady world of Victorian medicine and finds herself with a new rival – Patrick Nash (Felix Scott), the owner of a large private detective agency who wants to hire her or crush her agency.
EP05: A famous mystery writer is at the centre of Eliza's investigation when a series of murders copy scenes in his books. Meanwhile, the Duke is also juggling problems at work with a new superidendent and a troubled young detective.
EP06: While Eliza and the Duke struggle around the edges of their relationship, private investigator Nash is shot just as Eliza agrees to work with him. As Eliza and Moses work to solve the attempted murder, they realise Eliza was the target.
