The Pride Of Britain Awards | Preview (ITV1)

Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo return to celebrate the achievements of truly remarkable people who make our world a better place in this year's Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards.



The awe-inspiring winners will be celebrated at the Grosvenor House Hotel in a star-studded event in London on Sunday 8th October with the awards being screened on ITV on Thursday 12th October at 8pm.



The awards, once again celebrate truly extraordinary achievements of people of all ages, from children of courage to lifesaving emergency workers, inspirational fundraisers and people who make the world a better place, in local communities and on a national or even global scale.


Packed with heartfelt stories of resilience and emotion, celebrity surprises and magical moments The Pride of Britain Awards will once again capture the nation’s hearts and imagination.



Carol Vorderman said: “The Pride of Britain Awards are a highlight of the year, it’s when we get the chance to hear some amazing stories and rightfully acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding work people have done in helping others. It’s an emotional night and once again an honour to be presenting these awards, I know Ashley and I will be in awe of these wonderful winners."




For 2023’s event, there will be a special award in honour of the Windrush Generation's contribution to Britain to mark the 75th anniversary of the Empire Windrush ship's arrival at Tilbury Docks.


Awards being given out this year include:

Lifetime Achievement - Recognising far-reaching achievement, possibly on a national or international scale.


Child/Teenager of Courage - For battling against the odds to help others or putting themselves at risk to save someone in danger.



Outstanding Bravery - For adults who risk their own safety to help others in danger.

Special Recognition - Recognising achievements not covered in other categories, such as inspiring carers, campaigners, and members of armed forces.


ITV Fundraiser of the Year - For tireless and inspirational charity fundraising, aged 18 and over.


Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser of the Year - To reward a young person aged 17 and under for inspirational charity work.



This Morning Emergency Services Award - For police, fire, ambulance, paramedics or air, sea or mountain rescue who have gone beyond the call of duty.

TSB Community Hero - For someone who goes to remarkable lengths to help others lead their best life.


The Pride Of Britain Awards broadcast Thursday 12th October on ITV1.
