Naked Education | Preview (Channel 4)
Anna Richardson, Yinka Bokinni and Dr Alex George present the newbody-positive educational series that aims to normalise all body types, champion people's differences and break down stereotypes.
From body dysmorphia and disabilities, to mastectomy scars and penis size, to the ageing body and skin conditions, no subject is too big or too small. The series is made up of three strands that tackle different conversations about the body.
In The Naked Exchange Anna brings together people who've undergone similar experiences to have a powerful and candid discussion about their body and share their stories.
In Teen Talk a group of inquisitive teenagers are guided by Yinka and Dr Alex to analyse and ask questions about the naked body as they challenge their own perceptions of what they think is normal or beautiful and get answers to questions they've been afraid to ask.
And for the Naked Brigade Anna andour body-positivity activists travel the country to share their message and encourage people to join the Every Body Is Beautiful campaign. This week in the classroom, the teens are tackling the subject of body hair. Yinka and Dr Alex, with the help of our life-models line-up, debunk some of the most common myths and help them challenge their own perceptions of body hair.
In a powerful Naked Exchange, mothers Libby and Lauren have an honest conversation about the difficulties of childbirth and open up about their post-partum experiences, from physical pains to the mental toll that pregnancy and birth can have on the body.
And our body-confident champions in the Naked Brigade are helping Hannah, who was bullied at school for being 'too tall', overcome her childhood demons with a cathartic and powerful photoshoot to defy the negativity she endured growing up and help her let go of it.
The full series will be available on All 4 following the transmission of this episode on Tuesday 4th April.
