Bake Off: The Professionals | Series 6 Preview (Channel 4)

The search for the best patisserie team in Britain returns, as new host Ellie Taylor joins Liam Charles to welcome a brand-new batch of pastry chefs hailing from hotels, patisserie shops and small ventures around the UK.

As always, they face two days of testing challenges judged by two world-class pâtissier experts, Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden. To kick the new series off, the judges have whipped up a surprise for the teams with a secret challenge.

Without proper recipes to hand, they must rely on their patisserie instincts, innate knowledge, and above all their teamwork to create 36 individual opéra aux fruit and one chocolate amenity in just three hours.

In the second challenge for their showpiece, the teams transform the classic banoffee pie into an incredible fine-dining experience, complete with towering edible showpiece sculptures. Which teams will earn a place in the next round, and who'll be going home?
