Celebrity Hunted | Series 5 Preview (Channel 4)

Ten celebrities are tasked with going on the run across mainland UK while an elite team of hunters try to track them down.

Comedians James Acaster and Ed Gamble, Strictly dancer Katya Jones and snowboarding Olympian Aimee Fuller, actors Nicola Thorp and Nikesh Patel, mathematician Bobby Seagull and social media star Saffron Barker, and TV therapists Nik and Eva Speakman must evade capture for 14 days, while the hunters throw all their resources at catching them.

The hunters are a handpicked team of police and military personnel, armed with the powers of the state - CCTV and ANPR cameras, drones, dogs, mobile phone tracking and social media publicity campaigns. Can these celebrity fugitives escape the glare of the spotlight and remain under the radar for 14 days?

In the first episode, nine celebrities escape from Shrewsbury prison and go on the run. The hunters are instantly on their tails tracking them with CCTV cameras and a helicopter at their disposal. Katya Jones and Aimee Fuller take off in a vintage Vespa with sidecar. James Acaster and Ed Gamble make a daring move with a six-course tasting menu at a Michelin guide restaurant.

Husband and wife team Nik and Eva Speakman escape on a tandem bike, hoping that their family network will prove an asset and not a weakness. Mathematician Bobby Seagull takes the wheel but will his limited skills as a getaway driver put him and YouTuber Saffron Barker at risk.

And solo fugitive Nicola Thorp escapes in a vintage Jag with plans to get her boyfriend, actor Nikesh Patel, onboard as the tenth fugitive. Are the hunters ready for Nikesh? The celebrities are taking part for Stand Up To Cancer, the joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.

Celebrity Hunted returns Tuesday 28th March at 9pm on Channel 4.
