PIERS MORGAN QUITS LIFE STORIES, WITH FINAL GUEST KATE GARRAWAY TO FRONT EPISODES IN 2022

Piers Morgan is quitting his long-running ITV chat show Life Stories, and will be replaced by Kate Garraway in 2022.

Piers has fronted the series for 12 years, and presented over 100 shows. Piers departs the series to join talkTV (more information below).

Piers's final guest will be Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway. Kate is then expected to present the final three episodes of the contracted series in 2022. It is unclear whether the show will continue beyond then.

Piers Morgan said: "Piers said this evening: “I can’t think of anyone who I’d rather finish my run with. Kate was a wonderfully loyal colleague during my five years on Good Morning Britain and is one of my favourite people in the world. How she’s handled the devastating situation with Derek sums her up. She’ll be as brilliant at Life Stories as she is at everything else."

Kate said: "I’d never try to be Piers. But he did say you’ll be gripping and wonderful in your own right."

A source told The Sun: "Piers has created a legendary format. Everyone parted on the best of terms and wish Kate the best of luck."
