THE FORSYTES
Monday, 5
The Forsytes chronicles the lives, loves, trials and triumphs of a wealthy late Victorian stockbroking family, whose generations are torn between tradition and self-sacrifice versus personal happiness and the pursuit of love.
Family stability is threatened by two chance encounters for rival cousins, Jolyon and Soames, throwing their previously steady lives into disarray. Married Jolyon contends with the reappearance of his former lover, Louisa, a lady’s maid-turned-dressmaker, while daughter June falls for a penniless architect. Soames, meanwhile, is enchanted by the beautiful and free-spirited dancer Irene.

Tuesday, BBC Two
The nation’s most curious comedy quiz show is back. QI returns to BBC Two and iPlayer this autumn with Series W, promising another round of razor-sharp wit, unexpected facts and the very best in comedy talent.
At the helm once again is Sandi Toksvig, joined by Alan Davies as they both lead a dazzling mix of first-time guests and returning favourites who wrestle with the Weird and Wonderful, dabble in Wordmongery, puzzle over Who, What, Why and unravel all manner of Whatnots.
HARLAN COBEN'S LAZARUS
Wednesday, Prime Video
Based on an original story idea and written by the New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben and BAFTA-winner Danny Brocklehurst. Lazarus follows a man (Sam Claflin) who returns home after his father's (Bill Nighy) suicide and begins to have disturbing experiences that can't be explained. He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father's death and his sister's murder 25 years ago.

Thursday, BBC Two
Scottish anaesthetist Mia Beaton arrives in New Zealand for sister Cassy’s wedding, only to find Cassy has died. Mia determines to find her sister's killer among the unusual townsfolk. Mia makes enemies as she lines up suspects. She discovers Cassy had secrets, leading to conflict between Ewan and Teddy - but little does she realise that Ewan has a secret of his own.
PRIDE OF BRITAIN AWARDS
Thursday, ITV1
Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo return for the annual Pride of Britain Awards to celebrate the achievements of people who have acted remarkably in extraordinarily challenging situations.
With a wealth of famous faces taking this moment to congratulate these remarkable winners from all over the nation, at the heart of the programme are everyday people, celebrating their bravery and brilliance, and making them the real stars of the show.

Saturday, BBC One
Michael McIntyre is back with his hit game show that’s packed with huge stars, big laughs and a giant spinning wheel.
Can the contestants answer their way to a fortune? The celebrities on this edition include Susan Wokoma, Roman Kemp, Layton Williams, Katherine Ryan, Jill Scott and Joe Marler. Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith are in the Double Chair.
MORTIMER & WHITEHOUSE: GONE FISHING

Paul takes Bob to one of his favourite rivers to fly fish – the beautiful chalk stream of the River Itchen in Hampshire. As it's Paul's birthday week, he gets to call all the shots, but the only present he really wants is to catch a wild brown trout in this idyllic location.
DAISY MAY & CHARLIE COOPER'S NIGHTWATCH
Sunday, BBC Two
Daisy May Cooper and her brother Charlie reunite on screen to spend the night together in notorious and reportedly haunted buildings across the UK, discovering long hidden secrets about the buildings – and each other.
Daisy decides their first stop should be the renowned former prison in Gloucester, near their hometown of Cirencester. This vast prison has long since shut its doors to new inmates but willingly opens the gates again for Daisy and Charlie, who spend the long night shut in a tiny cell together.
