Jeanette Kwakye and JJ Chalmers host a busy morning of live Olympic action, with Team GB in the hunt for medals across multiple sports on day eight, including rowing and equestrian.

The British rowers failed to win Olympic gold in Tokyo for the first time since 1980, and the men’s and women’s eights will be looking to put that right this morning in Paris.

Great Britain’s dressage team have reached the podium at the past three games, with gold in London, silver in Rio and bronze in Tokyo. Becky Moody, Carl Hester and Lottie Fry will attempt to manoeuvre their way to yet more medal success at the beautiful Palace of Versailles.

Elsewhere, there’s a chance to see Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes and American superstar Noah Lyles in action in the men’s 100m heats, while the men’s cycling road race gets underway in the shadow of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

Artistic gymnastics are in the spotlight this afternoon, with the world’s elite showcasing their extraordinary skills at the striking Bercy Arena.

British legend Max Whitlock will be vying to secure a record third pommel horse gold at his fourth Olympics, while all eyes will be on the women’s vault final as the US superstar Simone Biles returns to reclaim her crown.

There will also be a chance to watch the conclusion of the cycling as the men’s road race snakes through Paris, and the experienced British dressage team will be pushing for a fourth successive podium place at the Palace of Versailles.

Some of the world’s biggest names in swimming and athletics battle for the podium on a remarkable night of Olympic sport, as Britain go for gold in the pool and on the track.

All eyes will be on the women’s 100m, one of five athletics finals, with Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith set to take on Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and American Sha’Carri Richardson.

There are also four gold medals to be decided in the pool, with Team GB seeking to defend their Olympic title in the mixed 4x100m medley relay. There are likely to be fireworks in the men’s 100m butterfly as reigning champion Caeleb Dressel attempts to hold onto his crown, while the women’s 800m freestyle, featuring Katie Ledecky against Ariarne Titmus, promises to be a race for the ages.
