FORMER ONE DIRECTION BANDMATES TO EMBARK ON US ROAD TRIP FOR NEW NETFLIX SERIES

Former One Direction bandmates Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are to reunite for a new Netflix programme, travelling across the US together.

A source told The Sun: "This will be an absolutely huge show for Netflix and is guaranteed to whip 1D’s global army of fans into a frenzy. Although the idea of ­British boyband members doing a show about travelling across America sounds random, most of them now have strong links Stateside.

"And it’s likely to be a chance for some serious soul-searching and deep discussions about the incredible journey the group have already been on since they were formed on The X Factor 15 years ago."

Earlier this year Netflix launched new talent contest Building The Band with former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, who died last Autumn. The music competition brings together 50 of the most talented singers for a truly unique competition show where building the perfect band is all about chemistry. The singers are in complete control as they seek to form their very own bands without ever seeing each other. All they have to go on is musical compatibility, connection, chemistry, and merit.

What will happen when the bands finally meet and … looks, choreography, and style come into play? Incredible performances, compelling drama, and one big goal: find the next great music band.

AJ McClean (Backstreet Boys) is the host the series, with Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls) and Kelly Rowland (Destiny's Child) as judges alongside Payne and various guest judges throughout the series.
