NAKED ATTRACTION: CHANNEL 4 CONFIRMS NEW SERIES AND DENIES REPORTS OF AXING
Reports from the Mail circulated over the weekend that Channel 4 had axed hit dating format Naked Attraction, however the broadcast has now confirmed the series will return and any reports of its 'axing' are no accurate.
A Channel 4 spokesperson said: "Naked Attraction has not been decommissioned and a new series will return to Channel 4 next year.". It follows reports of budgetary issues at the broadcast which has seen them 'cull' programming.
Naked Attraction sees a singleton choose a date, each from a selection of six people, but instead of seeing them clothed for the first time, they will stand naked before them in the studio…. The show starts the way some good dates might end, but how will it actually work out when natural instinct is all you have to go on?
As the show progresses the singletons reject those with a physique that they don’t feel drawn to physically, explaining to Anna just why they’ve discounted them. We will discover that people have varied, interesting and surprising tastes in what they find attractive about a naked body.
As the six potential dates are whittled down Anna will reveal further information about them that people would normally use to judge a potential partner on, such as how they dress and what they do for a living. The single man and single woman will then select their final match before heading out on a date to see if their initial instinct was accurate.
Whilst we are socially conditioned not to judge people on their looks, could reversing the dating process and judging someone purely on their naked form actually offer us the best chance of finding a suitable mate?
Naked Attraction is available to stream now on Channel 4.
