Reports: Two 1960s Doctor Who stories, which are currently missing, are to be animated and released by the BBC.
The Mirror report that the two stories are The Evil Of The Daleks and The Abominable Snowmen, both starring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor.
Original tapes of the 1967 stories, along with almost 100 others, were scrapped by the BBC to free up archive space. However, because the audio for these stories still exist, they are able to be given a new lease of life through animation.
Only one episode of each story is known to exist, with episode two of The Evil of the Daleks being found at a car boot sale in 1987.
Doctor Who returns for a festive special, expected to air later this year.
