LOVE ISLAND TONIGHT: SUNDAY 22 JANUARY 2023
LANA AND TANYEL TALK RON
Following David’s exit and an eventful recoupling, the evening continues as Lana heads over to chat to Tanyel about choosing Ron.
Lana says: “Obviously it’s not nice and you’re like my best mate in here, me and Ron have been happy and now you two are going to be coupled up so I feel like from now on me and you need to have a really transparent relationship.”
Lana asks Tanyel: “You must be feeling it to have picked him in the first place?” Tanyel explains: “I need to give it a chance the same way I would give anyone else a chance.”
Lana adds: “The only thing that would hurt me now is if things were going on behind my back, I’d just like to know.” With Lana and Ron no longer an official coupling in the Villa, what will it mean for their budding romance now Tanyel is in the picture?
OLIVIA PULLS ZARA FOR A CHAT
Later that evening Olivia interrupts new couple Zara and Tom and asks to speak with her. Olivia says to Zara: “I feel tension. I feel like you’ve come in here and come for me a bit.”
Continuing, Olivia tells Zara that her comment at the re-coupling that Tom had made his feelings clear didn’t go unnoticed. But Zara says: “He’s made it quite clear, he’s quite affectionate from the get go, you can be a classy lady but some people take that as you’re not interested, he’s taken that as you’re not interested.”
Olivia responds: “I think that’s personal between me and him and I don’t really think that’s your business.” Can the two get past their disagreement?
HARIS AND OLIVIA HAVE A BREAKFAST DATE
The next morning, new couple Haris and Olivia embark on their first date as they sit down in the garden together for breakfast as Haris says: “Cheers to our first date in the Villa”
Olivia says: “I’m impressed.” Haris replied: “It’s good to be in an official couple.” What has Haris cooked for Olivia and is romance on the menu for the pair?
A POOL PARTY IS GATECRASHED BY TWO NEW ARRIVALS
Excitement hits the Villa as the Islanders receive a text inviting them to a pool party. As they dance by the pool, unbeknownst to them two new bombshells are making their way into the Villa.
Appearing on the balcony the two new arrivals, who hail from Down Under, announce: “G’day mate!” In a Love Island first, the two new bombshells have previously been on the Australian version of the show but have entered the Villa in search for another shot at love.
Aussie bombshell Aaron says over the balcony: “I thought we should really get the party started, what do you reckon?” What will the Islanders make of the new additions?
THE ISLANDERS GET TO KNOW AARON AND JESSIE
As soon as she enters Jessie wastes no time in getting to know the boys as she says: “I was wondering if you guys wanted to come and have a chat in the pool with me for a bit, sorry girls.”
As the boys gather around her, Jessie says: “You guys are all so fit, what the hell.” Jessie asks: “Are you guys all happy in your couples?” Haris says: “You came in at the right time, no-one’s really settled 100%.”
Meanwhile, the girls speak to new boy Aaron as Olivia asks: “Do you have a type personality wise?”
Keeping his cards close to his chest, Aaron replies: “Yeah, I could write a list to be honest.”
JESSIE AND WILL SHARE SOMETHING IN COMMON
As night falls Jessie wants to get to know Will. As they talk privately on the terrace she says: “I’m from a place called Tasmania.”
Jessie explains: “I kind of grew up in the country” to which Will responds: “Loving it, same, everyone in here is like city people and I’m a little country boy.”
Jessie says: “I feel like you kind of don’t strike me as the kind of guy to be in an office, I feel like it’s a country thing because I’m the same.”
As they continue to bond over shared interests, Will compliments Jessie as he says: “You’re honestly a 10/10, you’re unreal.”
Jessie replies: “You’re obviously gorgeous as well, you really are.” Will tells her: “I can’t stop looking at your eyes, your eye contact is so good.” Has Will found his match?
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
