Daytime hit Lingo will return for a fifth series, in addition to a second series of Celebrity specials for ITV1 and ITVX, TV Zone understands. ITV are yet to confirm the commission.

Both the new daytime series and primetime celebrity specials will be hosted by fan-favourite Adil Ray OBE. ITV previously attempted celebrity specials in 2022 with RuPaul, however they failed to find a large enough audience to warrant a second series at the time.
Since its launch in 2021, Lingo has captivated audiences nationwide as they tune in every day to watch contestants battle it out to complete Lingos and decipher puzzlewords in an attempt to win the £15,000 jackpot.
The fast-paced nature of the game combined with Adil’s natural charm and wit, provides the perfect balance for both contestants and those playing along at home. Last series saw a new 'winner stays on' format, where contestants get the chance to compete in more than one episode and prove they know their Lingo.
Meanwhile, ITV has recommissioned the successful daytime quiz show format Riddiculous for a third series. The third series of the popular quiz show will feature 25 x 60’ episodes.
Â
Each episode of the daytime show features three teams of two, who go head-to-head in a series of quick-fire general knowledge questions in order to unlock a riddle. The more questions and riddles they get correct, the more money they can bank.
Â
After three rounds, one pair will make it through to face the iconic endgame: Henry’s Riddle Run. Here, against the clock, they must solve a series of unique fast-pace riddles. They then have to decide whether to gamble on a ‘double or nothing’ final riddle. It’s rapid, it’s ruthless and it’s totally Riddiculous!
Previous series of Lingo are available now on ITVX.
