Late Night Lycett | Series 2 Preview (Channel 4)

Award-winning comedian Joe Lycett will once again be returning live to the banks of Birmingham’s canals for more mayhem in the second series of ‘Late Night Lycett’, with tickets now available to book to come down to the studio and be part of the audience.

With inclusivity and fun at its heart, Late Night Lycett celebrates the city and its diversity as he’s joined by local heroes, LGBTQ+ icons and big-name guests from the worlds of comedy, television, music and film.

The debut series drew widespread critical acclaim, with The Guardian commenting that ‘if anyone can bring the classic late-night chatshow cackling and screaming back into the zeitgeist, it’s [Joe]’, with over a million viewers tuning in each week to watch the latest mayhem ensue.

Last year, Joe brought Hollywood sparkle to Digbeth as guests including Dame Joan Collins, Richard E Grant and David Harewood all joined Joe in his hometown, whilst celebs from Natalie Cassidy to H from ‘Steps’ ran riot in his local corner shop.

The first series also introduced the nation to controversial straight-talking newsreader Richard Yewtree, whilst Joe gave away his very-own car as a prize.

Talking about series two, Joe said: “The first series of Late Night Lycett was the most fun I've ever had making TV. From Paul Chuckle destroying my local corner shop to Katherine Ryan being trapped on a floating barge, the whole thing feels like a crazed fever dream. I can't wait to go bigger and wilder in series two.”

The new series of Late Night Lycett is set to launch on Friday 12 April and will run for six weeks, live every Friday night.
