KATE SILVERTON PILOTS SUPERNANNY-STYLE FORMAT
Former BBC News presenter turned child therapist Kate Silverton has reportedly filmed a pilot for a new show which will see her come to the rescue of struggling parents - similar to the 'Supernanny' format.
Speaking in 2021 to the PA news agency, Silverton said: "My academic background is in child psychology, and becoming a mum really inspired me too. My journey has really been decades long, both in understanding more about children’s mental health, and as a parent really benefiting from all the interviews and access to advice that I was given by incredible people."
A source told The Sun on the pilot: "It will see her try to help families who are in need of expert advice and won’t mind being filmed while it’s happening. Although it’s just a pilot and hasn’t yet been attached to a specific channel, or a streamer, it’s expected to be well received. It may not end up with the title of Supernanny but certainly does sound very much like the cult Channel 4 show."
More details will be announced in due course.
