ITV REVEALS SUMMER FACTUAL HIGHLIGHTS

ITV reveal the factual series airing on ITV1 between July and September 2024.

MR BATES VS THE POST OFFICE: THE IMPACT

This film from the makers of hit ITV drama Mr Bates vs The Post Office will reveal how the series has affected the lives of the subpostmasters it featured and provide an insight into the still ongoing struggle for justice and financial redress.

The documentary will feature Jo Hamilton, Jess Uppal, Noel Thomas, leading figure Alan Bates as well as subpostmasters who have come forward in the aftermath of the drama - telling their stories on television for the first time, some say that they would not have had the courage to talk openly about their involvement in the scandal and how it affected them without the public’s overwhelmingly positive reaction to the drama.

CHAMPIONS: FULL GALLOP

The series goes behind the scenes with jockeys, trainers, owners and horses as they compete in the 2023-24 Jumps season - produced by South Shore and supported by Flutter and Racecourse Media Group (RMG), cameras have been given access to all areas from weighing rooms to stable yards as cameras follow the dramatic high octane thrills, emotion and drama both on and off the racetrack

LONG LOST FAMILY (Series 14)

Presented by Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell with help from a team of trained intermediaries, DNA experts and investigators, the series tells extraordinary stories of people yearning to find missing family and investigates mysteries that have troubled entire lives while uncovering answers that no-one else could find.

SOCIAL MEDIA MURDERS

The latest series of this true crime documentary strand provides a vivid insight into how social media was used in the murder cases of three people. The three films in this series put the victim at the centre of the narrative alongside social media messages and videos.

THE OTHER MRS JORDAN

Mary Turner Thomson had grown used to her husband’s frequent and often sudden trips away to far-flung locations as well as the secretive nature of his work which meant he was regularly unable to maintain contact with her - she contented herself that these challenges were a necessary sacrifice when her spouse William Allen Jordan was a CIA agent working in counter-terrorism in the early 2000s… or so she thought until a fateful phone call in April 2006 from someone claiming to be ‘The Other Mrs Jordan’.

THE FOOTBALL FRAUDSTER

This film tracks what followed when promising footballer Medi Abalimba turned into a fraudster and posed as stars from the world of sport and business to scam unsuspecting victims.
